This week Reviewed.com is at CES 2013 in Las Vegas, bringing you all of the most important and exciting developments in technology. Here’s a roundup of what we’ve been covering today.

The rumors are true: Fujifilm announced the X100s and X20 at its press conference, playing to a packed room of tech journalists and industry analysts. The X100s is a follow-up to the successful X100, while the X20 follows up on the X10 with a new and improved 2/3-inch sensor.
Bosch called a time-out on smart appliances that can’t play well with others. The German technology conglomerate and home appliance manufacturer indicated that, unlike other manufacturers, the company is waiting for a universal system of communication across smart appliances before it attempts any foray into this developing market.
Though Pentax has never been known for compact cameras, the MX-1 is the company’s stab at the premium point-and-shoot market. Featuring a retro look and advanced photographic chops, this is easily the most serious compact camera Pentax has released.
At CES thus far, LG has focused on one thing in appliances: convenience. According to LG CTO Skott Ahn, consumers haven’t been quick to embrace home automation—mostly because the options currently available are cumbersome. LG hopes that the One Touch Smart Control unveiled today will streamline how consumers access the Smart ThinQ app that is already available for download.
Canon unveiled a new PowerShot at the Consumer Electronics Show today, and it’s one of the first major re-imaginings of their compact camera designs in a several years. The PowerShot N breaks from many typical point-and-shoot conventions, starting with the physical design. The touch screen N is squarish—like a boxy tube TV—with just one familiar button: the power switch.
Samsung is kicking off CES with an exhibition of its refreshed smart TV platform, still called the Smart Hub. The platform’s updates integrate broadcast content, new “recommendation” features, and even some social media capabilities. Users will benefit from upgraded hardware, and the whole system is shaping up to be a giant leap forward in terms of how we access cable television content.
