Samsung partnered with SodaStream to make the world’s first refrigerator with a fizzy-water dispenser. We had a chance to try out the fridge a few months ago, and came away quite impressed: The water was cool and crisp, just like soda water from a chilled bottle. It’ll be available in April for $3,899—that’s 4,935 bottles of store-bought sparkling water.
BenQ claims that they designed and developed the XL2420T (MSRP $549) with input from professional Counter-Strike players, so it’s no surprise that it’ll only appeal to hardcore gamers. Lag is a non-issue, and it comes with a three-button switch to toggle between display settings. Color accuracy is weak, though that isn’t usually a deal-breaker for gamers. The price is high, but it’s about as serious as gaming monitors come.
The Sony RX1 (MSRP $2,799) is built around the same core as some professional DSLR cameras, but stuck with one lens and no zoom. Can it take the place of its heavier, bulkier cousins? The HBO Go app is now compatible with the AirPlay feature on Apple TV. Alright, this new feature really does nothing. But read between the lines: HBO is getting ready for a la carte subscriptions without cable companies involved. It won’t come soon, but when it does happen, HBO will be in a great position.
