We rolled this out a few weeks ago, and I just realized I hadn't mentioned it on the blog. Now, if you go to any category page on Reviewed.com where we are actively doing our in-depth scientific reviews (Cameras, Camcorders, SLR Cameras, TVs, Headphones, MP3 Players, Cell Phones) at the top of the page, before we give the ratings table, is a new graph. The graph is a dynamically created graph of score vs. price. The red line on the graph is a linear regression of all the data points. Products above and to the left of the line are a good value when compared against others, and products below and to the right are a bad value. It's a really neat way of graphing score vs. price and visualizing the value of products.
You can customize the graph based on your preferances. If you check any of the manufacutrer, type or price boxes above it will filter the graph to show only those products (as well as filter the product able below it). There is also a drop down menu where you can choose to graph any one of the rubric sections (on camcorders there are about 40, on cameras there are about 50). For example, you can graph the low light performance of all camcorders vs. their price.
If you click on any of the dots on the graph, it will take you straight to the Reviewed.com review. In each review page, we have a mini version of the graph on the right hand column. The red dot on those mini graphs is the product that you're looking at.
It's the first in a lot of positive design changes we're making at Reviewed.com.
