Old Dutch 16-Ounce Solid Copper Hammered Moscow Mule Mug, Set of 4 - $34.99, SAVE $56

The Moscow Mule is a refreshing drink that combines vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice with a mint garnish—perfect for National Vodka Day. But you can’t just serve a Moscow Mule in any cup. You need these copper mugs—and you need to chill them before serving.

Now, one of the most popular sets of Moscow Mule mugs is 75% off on Amazon. From Old Dutch International—one of the leading purveyors of copper accessories—this set of four, 16 oz. mugs comes in either a smooth or hammered finish.

Even though the drink has a certain vintage appeal, the Moscow Mule didn’t come out of some swank hotel bar or Prohibition-era speakeasy. Instead, it was invented by Heublein, a liquor distributor, and Cock’n Bull, a manufacturer of ginger beer—both of whom stood to profit if the drink took off.

We’re willing to suspend our cynicism here. Regardless of how it came to be, this drink is delicious, and the copper cups make a party more fun. They also make a great housewarming gift.

From Cock’n Bull, here’s a recipe for the Moscow Mule:

Ingredients:

• 6 ounces ginger beer • 2 ounces of vodka • 1/2 of a fresh squeezed lime • Lime wedge for garnish • 2-3 cubes of ice

Directions:

Squeeze lime into the bottom of copper mug. Drop in half of lime. Add ice. Pour in vodka. Top with ginger beer. Stir and garnish with lime wedge.
