This set is amazing. Spend the time tweeking the color and contrast etc. and you will be thrilled at the result. Step up to really appreciate this TV - surround sound with a good A/V receiver, blu ray (playstation 3 is great) and a good HD signal from Dish Network or cable etc. This tv is the size of a window - a window on the world. Blu ray disks like "over Alaska" are astounding. Every day TV is a totally new experience. Basketball is like being there. Movies are like the theatre (most theatres use DLP technology to project digital movies. ) You will save lots of money over an LCD screen and have better technical results - do your homework. And this tv does 3D - ya 3D. Technically it is always running at 120 Hz and does many things better than expensive LCD screens. Just check it all out - I made the best decision when I got this and smile ever time I turn it on.

Do not hesitate to check this TV out if you are thinking about an LCD big screen. This set uses the TI DLP chipset it's rock solid over many years of use in sets. I uses an LED light source estimated to last 60,000 hours for a picture that will blow you away. Ever go to a theater where "DLP" is used - it is excellent for very large screens. Most overhead projectors for home use use DLP technology. Spend some time with tweeking this TV and you will not be sorry. High def TV (Dish Network HD etc.) look incredible on this set - and blu ray - just amazing. I use the Playstation 3 as the blu ray player. It is the size of a window - like your own personal window to the world. Be patient with getting the color just right or have it professionally calibrated. You will be picking you mouth up off the floor. Keep working toward perfection - use a receiver instead of the onboard speakers, step up to blu ray and go for high def TV from cable or satellite - this TV is a worthy centerpiece for the best equipment. Why pay so much for an LCD set? Check out the reviews like cnet.com or any of the reviews. This an astounding set with amazing price.
