Want to have breakfast with Panasonic? Well, the Japanese manufacturer wants to be part of your whole morning routine. At this morning's CES press conference, the company exhibited some of their new small appliances and very small appliances alongside TVs and other tech.

First up, there's an updated line of personal care and cosmetics including shavers, flatirons, and other compact beauty products. Once you've got your face on, it's time for toast and French roast, which means it's time to plug in Panasonic's "Breakfast Series" of small appliances. According to the press conference this morning, they're coming to the US market and include a toaster ($149), electric kettle ($149), and coffee maker ($149).

With interesting blocky styling and purple color, the Breakfast Series may not fit into your grandma's kitchen, but it's good to see an attempt to break new ground in some fairly established small appliance realms. Not everyone wants a rugged Dualit or a knobby Bodum, and these purple Panasonics may be just the ticket to shaking things up.
