Dish supercharges its DVR-streaming box, adds more tuners.

Dish is a thorn in big broadcasters' sides, but it remains a consumer favorite thanks to its innovative Hopper DVR and Joey streaming box for secondary TVs. Those products made a big splash at last year's CES, and the company has followed up in 2014 to keep things fresh.

Two new Joeys were unveiled at this year's show, and our favorite is the Super Joey. Last year, the Hopper let you record six channels at once; the Super Joey adds two more tuners, letting you record a whopping eight shows at the same time. For TV junkies and large families, that's an incredible value, and a good reason to never get up from the couch.
