The California-based company has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its B4RM4N smart cocktail shaker—a gadget that promises perfectly mixed drinks every time.

The concept is as simple as rum and Coke. First, you fire up the app and look for the perfect cocktail recipe. The slickly designed interface gives you step-by-step instructions, making sure you add the liquids in the right order.
When you start pouring ingredients into the shaker, a built-in scale sends data back to your phone. LED lights on the side tell you when to stop pouring and let you know when to move on to the next ingredient. There's even an accelerometer to give you pointers on how long to shake.
B4RM4N is a real top-shelf idea. Unlike other attempts at smart mixology, Magnified Self's take combines everything into a single, self-contained system. That means it puts the focus on the shaker, which has been modified for the task at hand rather than the other way around.
