Upscale home appliance maker Fisher & Paykel is well-known for its dish drawer dishwashers and counter-depth fridges. Now owned by Haier, the New Zealand-based company is planning a major expansion with a whole bunch of new products—and a new logo—for 2018.

Aside from the new logo, this sleek look is what most Americans expect from Fisher & Paykel.

While Fisher & Paykel might be most popular with homeowners who want a sleek, European-style kitchen with American-sized appliances, the new collection mixes a variety of styles—from contemporary to classic.

We got a sneak peek of the new high-end ranges and ovens, built-in refrigerators, and washers and dryers Fisher & Paykel plans to debut over the next few months.

DCS pro-style ranges will now wear the Fisher & Paykel name

The Fisher & Paykel Contemporary Range comes in black, red, stainless, and white.

For the past few years, pro-style ranges from DCS have been badged as “DCS by Fisher & Paykel.” A representative told us that practice is ending, as the DCS name will be reserved only for outdoor cooking products.

It's no longer badged as a DCS, but this pro-style range still looks like one.

The new ranges will be called Fisher & Paykel Pro, and will inherit some technology from prior DCS designs when they debut in the middle of next year. All ranges will be self-cleaning, and some will feature digital displays with multiple cooking modes—including remote connectivity over WiFi.

The Contemporary range can be controlled remotely via WiFi, and also has a digital display.

Gas and dual-fuel ranges will be available in 30-, 36-, and 48-inch widths, and come in three styles: Professional, Contemporary, and Classic. The Contemporary design will be available in black, white, stainless, or red. Induction ranges will also be available. Pricing has yet to be announced.

Front-load compact laundry is coming to the U.S.

For the first time in the U.S., Fisher & Paykel is selling compact front-load laundry—including a 24-inch stackable washing machine, a condenser dryer, and a washer-dryer combo.

There’s already a glut of compact, 24-inch stackable washers and dryers in the US. Bosch, GE, LG, Samsung, Electrolux, Whirlpool, Blomberg, and Miele all have washers and dryers that fit in small spaces and don’t require vents.

Still, Fisher & Paykel is bringing its new compact washer and condenser dryer to the U.S. by the end of 2017. The washer will be able to clean a 26-lb. load in 59 minutes and is expected to retail for around $1,200, while the stackable ventless condenser dryer should cost around $800.

So is a combination washer-dryer

Only a handful of combination washer-dryers are available in the U.S., but a new model from Fisher & Paykel is coming later this year. Made in China, it’s expected to sell for around $900.

Although it has a new logo, the Dish Drawer is still Fisher & Paykel's marquis product.

Although Fisher & Paykel’s parent company Haier makes its own washer-dryer combos, F&P says this one was designed entirely in house.

New built-in refrigerator columns will compete against Miele and Thermador

Fisher & Paykel fridge columns are designed for the North American market.

Designed specifically for the North American market, these dual-evaporator column refrigerators are similar to what other high-end manufacturers offer.

The thick, adjustable hinge allows for mounting heavy door panels.

They come in 18-, 24-, and 36-inch designs, and can be mixed and matched. That means designers can install a whole wall of fridges in a gourmet kitchen, or just a small fridge and freezer for a luxury condo. Sturdy, adjustable hinges can hold a thick panel.

Expect to see them in appliance stores in mid-2018. The setup shown should cost around $10,000.
