The absolute best way to guarantee perfectly cooked meat is with a dependable thermometer. If you don’t own one, you’re basically guessing when burgers are ready based on how long you cook them. Two other thermometers we love from Thermoworks are the ChefAlarm and the Dot, which are designed for things like smoking meat, oven-roasting, and deep-frying, but can still be used for grilling.
The ChefAlarm is capable of tracking temperatures over an extended period of time so you can step away from cooking for a bit, then come back to check what you missed. It also has adjustable high and low alarms, so you’ll be notified when your meat reaches your preferred temperature setting. It normally retails for $64, but with this 15% off sale you can get it for $54.40.
In a similar vein to the ChefAlarm, the $47 Dot, available for an amazing sale price of $36.55, also comes with a 4.5-inch probe. It can read up to 572°F and its 47-inch cable can withstand temperatures of up to 700°F, making it easy to keep an eye on what’s going on without lifting the grill lid. It’s pretty hardcore if you ask us.
