We all want to be the kind of person to keep a fresh bouquet of flowers on the kitchen table, but life gets in the way and busy schedules take over. So, what if there was a way to get a bouquet that never wilts? No, we’re not talking about one made of silk flowers. Instead, Lego flower bouquets (available at Amazon for $47.99) are one of the latest home décor trends the internet is gushing over.

Yes, Legos. The little bricks that you played with in childhood are a sophisticated and practical way to incorporate florals at home.

But are Legos really the home décor trend to get on board with? I tried the Lego flower bouquet—here’s what I think.

What is the Lego flower bouquet?

The 756-piece Lego flower bouquet comes with 15 stems with plastic blooms like daisies, California poppies, and lavender.

Lego has released a botanical collection that features bountiful flowers, bouquets, and plants. The sets are geared toward adults, with kits ranging anywhere from 500 pieces to over 1,000.

The Lego flower bouquet I tested is suggested for anyone 18 and over while single flower sets like the Lego tulips and sunflowers are appropriate for ages 8 and up.

The 756-piece Lego flower bouquet comes with 15 stems with plastic blooms like daisies, California poppies, and lavender. The stems measure around 14 inches in height—about the same size you’d get in a bouquet with real flowers.

The flowers can be arranged in one big bouquet, or you can break up the stems into several smaller arrangements.

What I like about the Lego flower bouquet

Building the bouquet is an afternoon of fun

Putting together the Lego flower bouquet is a blast. While I do enjoy arranging freshly cut flowers from time to time, it certainly isn’t as fun as putting together this set. Admittedly, Legos weren’t my favorite activity growing up, so this was my first experience building a Lego set.

With a podcast on in the background, I spent an afternoon putting it together and found the whole experience delightful. Having an activity that didn’t involve any screen time was peaceful. Even if I made a mistake or mixed up pieces, they were easy to solve and a great way to unwind.

Clear instructions make building a breeze

Instructions were clear enough, so you'll be ready for another fun time of classic Lego building.

Unfamiliar with the instructions usually included in Legos, I didn’t know what to expect. The box contains five clearly-labeled plastic pouches. These correspond to the steps in the instruction booklet so you know where to find the right materials.

The instructions are delivered through easy-to-understand images rather than words. Some of the pieces look similar, however, the instructions are in color to help better distinguish.

Having the pieces separated out in sections made the process straightforward. Rather than spill out all pieces on the table at once, I found it convenient to put the pieces into bowls to keep them organized.

Even though I don’t have children at home, I do have a perpetually-hungry cat who is curious about anything he finds on the floor, and I didn’t want to risk him trying to turn one of the colorful blocks into a snack. Luckily, the bowls kept everything contained and neatly organized along the way.

A unique take on classic décor

Since the Lego flower bouquet can take the place of real flowers, you want something that’s just as eye-catching. While this bouquet emulates the look of real flowers, it certainly isn't going to pass as the real thing.

The classic Lego brick design is evident throughout this bouquet with its square edges, giving it a digitized look straight out of a round of Super Mario. The vibrant colors of the plastic blocks make it stand out. Since building the set, it’s brought a smile to my face every time I see it sitting on my kitchen table.

What we don’t like

Arranging the flowers is harder than it looks

This is one of the more easy-to-moderate Lego sets to build, but arranging them together is a whole different story.

There's no denying the unique beauty of the Lego flower bouquet, but getting it into formation is easier said than done. One wrong move can cause it to break apart. (Don’t ask me how I know.) Building the stems is a fairly simple process, however arranging them is a clumsy mess.

Moving the built stems caused some petals and leaves to fall off, so I had to stop and put it back together more times than I would’ve liked. Since the Lego bouquet flowers are made from plastic, they are stiff and therefore not as easy to position in the vase like the flexible stem of a real bloom.

Each piece of the bouquet is top-heavy, causing the Lego arrangement to tip over easily if the vase opening is too wide. For a sturdier setup, I recommend using a vase with a narrow opening and heavy bottom.

Should you buy the Lego flower bouquet?

Yes, it’s a fun activity and statement décor in one

Blends in perfectly as a set of real plants, and you don't even have to water these!

After seeing my TikTok feed flooded with videos of people excitedly putting together the Lego flower bouquets, I understand the hype. They’re delightful to put together and a fun activity to throw into your plans to unwind.

The bouquet is also a beautiful piece of home décor. While fresh flowers will wilt within the week, this Lego bouquet is a forever piece that will stay stunning wherever you keep it. It’s customizable as you can break up the stems into different vases around your home.

The good looks, versatility, and built-in fun of the Lego flower bouquet make this décor trend worth buying into.
