Haier will be releasing 3D smart TVs with fully-loaded internals: a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 CPU and an Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Other models will be getting an MHL port specifically for a Roku streaming stick.

The HXT series from Haier will include the latest iteration of Android, as well as the aforementioned quad-core processor. Haier is also working on something called a Smart Box, which will be an attachment for an HXT series TV that includes a camera.

The real beauty of having Android on a TV will be the access to the Google Play app store, which offers plenty of content streaming options and games. How these apps will integrate with the TV beyond downloading Netflix or Angry Birds remains to be seen, though.

Haier is also touting the remote that comes with HXT televisions. This remote will have Wi-Fi direct, a QWERTY keyboard, and the ability to control your cable box.

Other models will have a focus on streaming. Items in the Core series will include a built-in speaker box, in addition to the MHL port for a Roku stick and LED backlighting. The next step up, the Encore series, will include a 2.1 channel sound system. The Encore+ series will trump both of these models, including the vaunted Roku streaming stick.

Haier is promising ultra-thin bezels on its newest displays, which is a pleasant surprise, since the company's previous TVs have been on the heftier side.

Pricing and availability have yet to be released. We’ll update this article with more information when we hear it.
