Traditionally, the best way to dry your fancy martini and chardonnay glasses has been to let them air-dry. Most dishwashers equipped with a heating element warn you not to use it on stemware, as the intense heat could conceivably cause them to crack. That means leaving them out on the kitchen counter, putting them on a dish rack, or using a good old fashioned towel were pretty much your only options.

Now there's a third, potentially better option: the Glass Hanger. Designed to be installed on the bottom of a cabinet, this unique rack folds out over your sink so you can hang your stemware to dry. It's not unlike the glassware hanger racks you'd find at a bar, except that it can be conveniently folded out of the way when not in use.

Aside from the obvious advantage of freeing up valuable counter space, the company behind Glass Hanger claims that glasses dry up to four times faster when suspended over the sink, compared to simply sitting on the counter.

And while there are products already on the market that offer similar functionality, the Glass Hanger has the advantage of an unobstructed installation position that can support up to 8 pounds of distributed weight. That means you can safely hang and dry more than just stemware.

The Glass Hanger first launched at the 2014 International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago. The rack itself retails for $24.99, with a separate decanter dryer accessory offered at $9.99 and a 12-inch plastic-coated cable (for suspending items off the bottom of the rack) priced at $7.99.
