On paper, Dacor's new 48-inch Renaissance range is about as traditional as it gets: Six gas burners sit under continuous grates, and above two big oven cavities.

But look a bit closer, and you'll notice some real innovation. The larger oven cavity? It's a whopping 5.1 cubic feet—big enough to fit a commercial baking sheet—and it has a self-clean option. There's a smaller companion oven next door, and both feature infrared broilers for fast heating.

Up top, dual-stacked burners output up to 18,000 BTU, and can turn down to 800 BTU for simmering and low-temperature cooking. While there's no option for a fancy built-in plancha or bain-marie, Dacor does sell a bunch of accessories designed to fit on top of the range.

You can even get the Renaissance in an interesting new finish.

Owners will get all the durability and shine of stainless, but with a unique color that still blends with most kitchen color schemes.

It's the manufacturer's latest attempt to give customers options other than stainless. Last year, Dacor showed off a variety of custom colors. Alchemy is the first that combines the feel of stainless with the look of something entirely different.
