You work hard to enjoy your free time. And while errands are a fact of life, it certainly doesn’t mean you want to burn that free time standing in line to buy toilet paper. While patience is a wonderful skill, sometimes we should be allowed to let out our inner Veruca Salt and proudly say, “I want it now!”

Amazon, the online giant that put free two-day shipping on the map, is working to make errands a thing of the past with Prime Now, and right now you can save $10 on your first order with this exclusive code: “10PRIMENOW.”

How does Prime Now work?

Essentially, you can order essentials like groceries and household items and have them at your door within a few hours. The best part is that there’s no additional cost for a two-hour delivery window. If you’re in more of a time crunch, you can pay $7.99 for a 1-hour window.

A few items of note when using Prime Now: • Prime Now is currently only available in 32 cities in the U.S. (see the full list below) • You must spend at least $40 • The 1- and 2-hour delivery times are not calculated from when you place the order. • You choose your delivery window when you place the order. • The drivers show up in their own cars, not the Amazon courier vans. • You must be home to accept the delivery. • Steer clear of frozen foods. I once ordered ice cream that showed up completely melted.

What can you order from Prime Now?

Prime Now features thousands of items in virtually every category. Groceries and household necessities like cleaning products and pet supplies may be the most logical items to order for same-day delivery, but your options extend to things like health and beauty products, toys, games, electronics, office supplies, sports equipment, and, of course, Amazon devices like Kindles and Echos.

Another fun feature of Prime Now is the ability to order from any number of local shops and restaurants. This is perfect if you’re craving your favorite dish but you’re stuck at home

You could, for instance, have Amazon deliver a video game your kids are dying to play, along with a new controller to replace the one that broke last week, snacks for them to enjoy, and everything you need to make a family dinner while they’re preoccupied and finally out of your kitchen.

Other times Prime Now could come in handy: While you’re traveling and aren’t familiar with your surroundings, when you’re home sick and running low on supplies, when you have to work late and would rather go straight home than run errands, when you’re hosting a party and need last-minute supplies, when you just want to feel pampered and fancy.

Now through July 31, try Prime Now for the first time and get $10 off your order with the coupon code “10PRIMENOW.”
