Compared to its predecessor, the Plus has a bigger air filter, a more powerful motor, and a higher profile. During testing, we greatly appreciated all these new perks until our tests hit a snag—quite literally.

The Eufy Robovac 11 Plus had an issue getting caught on our high-pile carpet.

Where the old Robovac simply stayed away from our dark-colored, high-pile throw rug, the 11+ took advantage of its taller stature and tried to ascend it. Unfortunately, it got stuck. Repeatedly.

If you have thick rugs on your bare floors, that means you might not get to enjoy the new Eufy's better cleaning ability.

Because it failed our throw rug test, the new 11+ only picked up 10 grams of dirt during a standard cleaning test—one gram less than the standard RoboVac 11. Unfortunately, the Plus is due to replace the 11 soon, so grab the old one while you still can if you're looking for a good deal on an affordable robot vacuum.

Alternatively, you could try the Robovac 11c instead. It's identical to the original Robovac 11, but adds smartphone connectivity. We're also fans of the iLife A4S, one of the best-selling robot vacuums on Amazon.

Jonathan Chan currently serves as the Lab Manager at Reviewed. If you clean with it, it's likely that Jon oversees its testing. Since joining the Reviewed in 2012, Jon has helped launch the company's efforts in reviewing laptops, vacuums, and outdoor gear. He thinks he's a pretty big deal. In the pursuit of data, he's plunged his hands into freezing cold water, consented to be literally dragged through the mud, and watched paint dry. Jon demands you have a nice day.
