Color Temperature*(9.35)*


The Sony KDL-46BX420 did a great job in maintaining an accurate color temperature throughout the entire range of signal intensity, despite its slight flare towards the darkest end of the spectrum. Given that the error levels very rarely stray into the limit at which it's possible for the human eye to detect, we can tell you that you will almost never notice this being a problem, even if you're looking for it. Below is the color gamut of the Sony KDL-46BX420 matched up against that of the rec. 709 standard; the international standard for HDTV color values. You can see by the chart below that the Sony KDL-46BX420 wasn't perfect, but it did a fairly good job reproducing these standard values.
