This isn't just about looking around 360 degrees—you can also lean in to zoom in on the in-game environment. The newest Rift prototype fully tracks all of your head and upper body motions, no matter how small. It's VR, the way it was promised back in the early 1990s.
What we're most excited about is how Oculus might develop going forward. The company has created partnerships with various game designers and hardware manufacturers, meaning plenty of games and video cards are being created with Rift compatibility in mind. The future can't get here soon enough.
