If you're sick of spending too much money on lunch every day, this is a great time to start meal prepping and bringing lunch from home. Our favorite food storage set on Amazon is on sale for the lowest price we've seen all year. The 18-piece Glasslock oven-safe container set is only $30.76 right now. The set costs $45 at full price, but usually hovers between $35-$40.

We tested this set, along with a bunch of the other best-selling container sets on Amazon, to find out which really measured up to its reputation. The Glasslock containers blew the competition out of the water when it came to virtually every test we threw them at (sometimes literally).

These heavy duty containers survived drop tests without breaking, or even opening up. They didn't leak a single drop. They're dishwasher safe (always a plus!), and they performed perfectly in the microwave, the freezer and even the oven (sans lids). Plus, they stack up neatly even with lids on, so they won't take up too much cabinet space, and it's easy to keep track of lids.

While we recommend this set, we get that glass food storage containers may not be for everyone, and if you'd prefer something a little lighter to hold and lighter on your wallet, the Rubbermaid 42-piece set came in a close second to Glasslock, and this 18-piece set is only $12. You can even get a 42-piece set for $20 if you need lots of storage.

The choice is yours, depending on your needs and preferences, but both Glasslock and Rubbermaid are great options for food prep and leftover storage.
