Dyson's lightweight V8 detangles hair as it cleans and converts to a handheld for cars, stairs, and upholstery. It runs for up to 40 minutes on a charge, and the bin empties with a quick push, so you never have to touch the dust. This Prime-exclusive deal matches its lowest price of the year.
Save $120 on the Dyson V8 cordless vacuum
Once $389.99 and now $269.99 at Amazon, the V8 is $120 off, a 31% discount. The deal is Prime-exclusive, so you'll need a membership to get this price, and it matches the lowest price the vacuum has hit all year.
Lightweight cleaning that handles pet hair
The V8 weighs 5.6 pounds and runs for up to 40 minutes per charge, though runtime is shorter with the motorized floor head. The Motorbar head deep-cleans carpets and hard floors, and built-in vanes clear wrapped long hair and pet hair from the brush bar while you vacuum, so you won't need scissors to cut tangles free.
Dyson's whole-machine filtration captures 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns in Max mode. Emptying the bin is hands-free, since a single push ejects the dust and debris straight into the trash. You can switch between two power modes, and the trigger design means it only draws power while you're actively cleaning.
A handheld vacuum when you need one

The V8's included crevice tool reaches deep into tight spots, making the handheld mode useful for more than just quick spills.
With one click, the V8 converts to a handheld for cars, stairs, and upholstery, and the included crevice tool reaches up to 7 inches into tight gaps. Dyson backs it with a 2-year limited warranty.
We haven't tested this exact model, but an earlier version, the V8 Absolute, earned a spot in our guide to the best Dyson vacuums. Amazon shoppers give this model a 4.3-star average rating across more than 550 reviews.
