Amazon's Fire HD 10 tablet is more than half off right now

A tablet for your kid shouldn’t cost much, especially if you want one you won’t sweat over when you find it covered in sticky stuff from their backpack or almost cracked from being under a couch cushion. During Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon’s Fire HD 10 costs even less than its usual $154.99—only $72.99.

Get the Fire HD 10 for half off

Prime Big Deal Days 2026 only lasts from October 6-7, so there isn’t much time to grab this 53% discount. You have to be a Prime member for this deal but, since it’s the lowest price we’ve seen on the tablet all year, and there are hundreds of other deals to shop, we think it’s worth it if you aren’t a member yet.

A big, sharp screen for streaming and reading

The 10.1-inch 1080p screen (1920 x 1200) makes this Fire HD 10 tablet a comfortable size for movies, games, and ebooks. An octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM keep things moving, and Amazon says it's 25% faster than the previous generation.

This model has 32GB of storage, which you can expand by up to 1TB with a microSD card (sold separately). The battery lasts up to 13 hours, and it charges over USB-C.

All of this makes it an excellent tablet choice for anyone, but a screen made from strengthened aluminosilicate glass gives you extra assurance when giving it to a child or teen. In Amazon's tumble test, the Fire HD 10 proved 2.7 times as durable as the 2022 Samsung Galaxy Tab A8. There are also Amazon Kids parental controls built in.

While we haven't tested this exact model, the kid-focused versions of the Fire HD 10 are our top picks for the best tablets for kids.
