Our tester named the Royal Mink Sherpa Throw as our best electric blanket because it's thicker than most, super-soft, and has four adjustable heat levels. The thickness means the wires don't poke through when you're trying to snuggle up (a rare find in electric blanket world) and since there's a 4-hour auto shutoff, you never have to worry that you're going to melt if you doze off while you're comfy.
And maybe best of all, it's easily machine washable — no funky instructions, just put it in the machine on gentle cycle. As our reviewer put it, "For one of the best comfortable electric blankets that’s perfect for one person, you can’t go wrong with the Sunbeam Mink Sherpa Heated Blanket."
