With Mother's Day right around the corner, Amazon is ramping up its sales and has just lowered the price of its popular Kindle Paperwhite to $89.99. This is a ridiculously good deal, since it usually retails for $129.99. If you know your mom has been meaning to catch up on her reading lately, then she’ll certainly love receiving the best-selling e-reader this Sunday (while you’ll appreciate the $40 discount).
The 10th generation Paperwhite, originally released in 2018, happens to be the best Kindle we’ve tested. With its 6-inch, glare-free display, it’s basically like holding a real book in your hand, but one that you can zoom in on and read in the dark without straining your eyes. Even better, you can fit thousands of books into one Kindle Paperwhite, as it has 8 GB of storage (also available is the 32 GB version if you’re a literature fiend). Another cool feature is the battery life, which can last for weeks from a single charge.
For summer days on the beach, this Kindle is the perfect accessory. Waterproof and lightweight, it’s ultra portable and great for trips. Plus if you like to read while you're taking a bath, this is definitely the e-reader for you. This Kindle also makes it easy to switch from e-book to audiobook mode with the touch of a button, as long as you have an Audible account and a pair of Bluetooth headphones or speaker.
While the Paperwhite could make a great gift for Mom this Mother’s Day, given that this is the lowest price it’s ever been, you may also want to treat yourself to one while you’re at it. Together, you and Mom can breeze through Reese Witherspoon’s book club recommendations while you tan at the pool this summer. Fam goals, am I right?
