Some coffee drinkers want a machine that brews a full pot at the push of a button. Others want to fine-tune bloom time and water temperature like a barista. The brands on this list cover both camps and plenty in between.

Our panel of experts picked these coffee maker brands for their brewing performance, build quality, and staying power in home kitchens. Now we need your help: Vote for the brand you like best, and help us decide which one takes the top spot.

The Readers' Choice Awards is your chance to tell us what you think

The Reviewed Readers' Choice Awards celebrate a special kind of expertise: yours! This is where the people who rely on these products every day get to cheer for their favorites. What coffee maker brand is your go-to? Do you swear by one brand for drip and another for espresso? We'd love to hear about it, so cast your vote!

For coffee makers, we've nominated brands rather than specific models. That way we honor the reputations they've built over years of mornings, and you can vote for the name you trust most.

If you know Reviewed, you also know our editors and testing team love getting hands-on with products like coffee makers. We brew, taste, and compare to recommend specific machines in buying guides like the Best Drip Coffee Makers, Best Single-Serve Coffee Makers, and Best Espresso Machines.

Voting period ends on Nov. 4, 2026. We'll announce the winners on Nov. 12.

Nominee 1: Braun

Better known in the U.S. for shavers and small kitchen appliances than for its coffee machines, German brand Braun offers a coffee maker lineup featuring programmable drip makers. Its MultiServe models let you choose brew strength and scale a batch from a single cup up to a full carafe. Some models add extras like a dedicated cold-brew setting.

One of our panelists argues that Braun’s drip machines deserve more attention, especially given their clean, understated design and emphasis on adjustability. Braun machines produce balanced drip coffee without requiring any expertise, making the brand worth a closer look for readers who want a few more options than a basic brewer offers.

Nominee 2: Breville

Breville built its reputation on countertop appliances that give home cooks more control, and its coffee makers follow the same approach. The Australian brand's drip offerings include the Precision Brewer, which lets you adjust bloom time, water temperature, and flow rate—settings more often associated with manual pour-over.

Our panel highlights Breville's emphasis on precision and convenience, giving users room to experiment without sacrificing the ease of a push-button brewer. One expert credits an early Breville espresso machine with teaching them to make better coffee. Anyone ready to move past a basic machine should check out Breville.

Breville's coffee range also includes highly awarded espresso machines and bean grinders.

Nominee 3: Bunn

Bunn has spent decades supplying coffee equipment to restaurants, diners, and offices, and its home brewers borrow heavily from that commercial background. The signature feature is an internal hot-water tank that keeps water heated and ready, so a full pot brews in a matter of minutes rather than the longer cycle typical of standard drip machines. Home coffee drinkers who tend to substitute water for java in their daily intake appreciate this speed. The design is straightforward rather than flashy, and Bunn's home lineup includes several drip models.

Nominee 4: CAFÉ

CAFÉ is GE Appliances' gorgeous design-forward line, known for customizable finishes and hardware on its ranges and refrigerators. That approach carries over to its countertop appliances, including a stainless drip coffee maker that one of our panelists singles out as a personal favorite. The CAFÉ Specialty Drip Coffee Maker earned certification from the Specialty Coffee Association for meeting the group's brewing standards and offers conveniences such as adjustable brew strength and Wi-Fi connectivity via the SmartHQ app. For readers who want a coffee maker that matches the rest of their kitchen and makes an elevated cup of coffee, CAFÉ is the go-to.

Nominee 5: Cuisinart

Cuisinart is a familiar name in drip coffee for many American households, often appearing on wedding registries. Today, the Conair-owned brand offers loads of programmable machines, including models with 24-hour programming, so users can schedule a pot to be ready when the alarm clock goes off.

Cuisinart is a dependable brand that offers a combination of capacity and scheduling users can count on daily. One panelist who has owned several Cuisinart machines says he trusts them to brew a quality cup and outlast most home machines, with the caveat that part of the price reflects the brand name.

Beyond carafe models, Cuisinart’s lineup includes grind-and-brew machines and single-serve options at mid-market prices.

Nominee 6: De'Longhi

We find that De'Longhi, the Italian appliance maker founded in Treviso, is most familiar to American shoppers for its espresso machines. It also makes a line of drip coffee makers that focus on temperature control and flexible brewing, wrapped in the brand's polished Italian styling.

One panelist says they frequently see De'Longhi machines in European hotels.

Our experts also noted that De'Longhi is widely available at U.S. retailers and often partners with Nespresso, making it an easy recommendation for readers who want something a step above basic without having to hunt down a niche brand.

Nominee 7: Fellow

Fellow is known for design-driven coffee gear, including its Stagg kettles and Ode grinders. Its Aiden Precision Coffee Maker applies that thinking to automatic brewing, in both single-cup and full-batch forms. Users can set water temperature and create custom brew profiles with app-based controls.

Our experts pointed out that its design produces results closer to pour-over than a typical drip machine, which is the main draw for coffee drinkers who value clarity and flavor but don't want to stand over a kettle every morning. The brand's clean, modern look doesn't hurt either. If you already own a Fellow kettle or grinder, the Aiden fits right in.

Nominee 8: KitchenAid

Almost every consumer who has spent time in a kitchen—including their mom’s or grandma’s—recognizes that KitchenAid's stand mixers have been fixtures for generations. The Whirlpool-owned brand brings a similarly sturdy design sensibility to its coffee makers. Some of its drip models feature a spiral showerhead that spreads water evenly over the grounds, helping the coffee extract more consistently from edge to center. This approach, along with an iconically durable countertop build, should appeal to readers who want a solid appliance that matches their other KitchenAid pieces.

The coffee lineup includes drip makers in several sizes, as well as burr grinders and other coffee products.

Nominee 9: Krups

Krups traces its roots to 19th-century Germany, and our panel considers it one of the early pioneers of home drip coffee makers—and one that's still a contender today. Now part of France's Groupe SEB, the brand makes drip machines, espresso makers, and super-automatic machines that grind, tamp, and brew at the touch of a button. That range allows Krups to serve coffee drinkers at different stages, from someone who wants a carafe of drip coffee to someone ready for bean-to-cup espresso drinks.

Its staying power in a crowded category is a big part of what earned it a spot here.

Nominee 10: Moccamaster

A big favorite among coffee aficionados, Moccamaster brewers are hand-assembled in the Netherlands, where the company has built drip coffee makers since designer Gerard Clement Smit introduced the first model in the late 1960s. The machines hold water within a tight temperature range, and the Specialty Coffee Association certifies the brand's brewers.

Our experts highlighted its precision and durability, with appreciation for Moccamaster's buy-it-for-life reputation. One panelist, who hasn't owned one, notes that the brand comes up again and again whenever people talk about making excellent drip coffee at home, thanks to a loyal following. Another points out that you pay a premium for the cup it produces.

While models come in a wide range of colors, the core design has changed little over decades.

Nominee 11: Mr. Coffee

Mr. Coffee helped bring automatic drip coffee makers into American homes when it launched in the early 1970s. Today, the Mr. Coffee name remains shorthand for a simple, no-fuss brewer. Expect straightforward machines at accessible prices, from basic carafe models to programmable brewers and iced-coffee makers.

Mr. Coffee was one of our panelists’ first coffee makers; they say it still deserves a spot because it does the basics of brewing well. You don’t have to invest a lot of money or time to maximize its ease of use and generate a dependable cup. Another expert echoes that point, noting that sometimes the right coffee maker is the one without extra features to learn.

A Mr. Coffee machine is a practical choice for first-time apartment dwellers, office workers, or anyone who wants coffee.

Nominee 12: Nespresso

Nespresso takes a different approach from most brands here: Its Nestlé-backed system uses pre-portioned capsules to make espresso and coffee with minimal effort. The OriginalLine machines focus on espresso-style drinks, while the Vertuo line brews a wider range of cup sizes, from espresso shots to larger mugs.

The panelist who nominated Nespresso has used it for years and values how little work and cleanup it takes—enough to pack a compact machine when traveling, since hotel coffee rarely measures up. They also point to the brand's recycling program, which lets U.S. customers send back used aluminum capsules.

Nominee 13: Ninja

Ninja, part of SharkNinja, has built a following by packing a lot of versatility into reasonably priced appliances, and its coffee makers do the same. Many models offer several brew styles—classic, rich, over ice, and a concentrated specialty brew for lattes—and some add a fold-away milk frother. Machine options include single-cup makers and full-carafe machines.

Ninja is an all-time favorite for fast, budget-friendly drip coffee, though the results lack the nuance of some specialty brewers. An expert also points to the range of customization, which lets one machine handle a morning pot and an afternoon iced coffee.

Nominee 14: OXO

Consumers recognize OXO as a producer of thoughtfully designed kitchen tools, and its coffee makers carry the same user-friendly approach. The OXO Brew line centers on simple controls—some models run on a single dial—and a rainmaker-style showerhead that spreads water evenly over the grounds. The Specialty Coffee Association has certified several of its brewers, meaning they meet the group's standards for brewing temperature and time.

Our experts value the serious brewing and everyday convenience of OXO machines, which are affordably priced for certified brewers. OXO delivers better-than-basic drip coffee without a learning curve. The brand also sells grinders and pour-over gear.

Nominee 15: Ratio

Based in Portland, Oregon, Ratio designs automatic brewers meant to replicate the pour-over process, while adding more craftsmanship than typical.

Founder Mark Hellweg, who also started coffee retailer Clive Coffee, launched the brand to build a better home brewer. Its lineup, including the Ratio Six and Ratio Eight, uses materials such as cast aluminum and handblown glass, giving the machines a look closer to that of a design object than a kitchen appliance.

Our panel noted that Ratio aims to deliver pour-over flavor from an automated machine, starting each brew with a bloom phase before delivering the remaining water. Those qualities come with premium pricing, which positions Ratio for readers who see a coffee maker as a long-term investment.

Nominee 16: Smeg

Smeg, the Italian appliance maker known for its rounded, 1950s-inspired refrigerators, brings the same retro look to its drip coffee machines. Offered in a range of bright and pastel colors, the machines are clearly designed to be seen. What earned the brand a place on this list, according to our panel, is that the style comes with practical features, including an auto-start function for scheduled brewing and a water hardness setting that helps keep scale buildup in check. For readers who want their coffee maker to double as a statement piece, Smeg delivers a personality most brands don't attempt to match. The drip machines also coordinate with the brand's matching kettles and toasters.
