I work in a creative field, so my workspace needs to be a place I draw inspiration from. Whether it's an alien stress ball I can squeeze and pinch or a steadfast knight that will guard my pen, I prefer to surround myself with stimulating objects. If you want to liven up your work space, look no further. I searched the world wide web for unique objects that will surely energize you.
1. Need to get the creative juices flowing? Play with this lego mug!
Whenever I hit a writing roadblock, I usually stop what I'm doing to fiddle with some random object. I'm not sure why, but toying with an object helps me come up with new ideas. By the way, when you're in my line of work, new ideas are a must. If you need help keeping your hands busy, I definitely recommend this mug.
I don't care what anyone else says, Legos are fun no matter how old you are. This coffee mug doubles as a Lego tower, which is a win-win. You can drink coffee and play with Lego bricks. You can build or destroy, depending on your mood.
2. Feeling overwhelmed? Work out your worries with this stress ball
Okay, so. This stress ball is disgusting, but I really like it. Just hear me out on this one.
We're all going to feel stress at some point or another, especially at our jobs, so why not take out your frustration on a bubonic plague ball? It's a great way to regain your peace of mind. Instead of crushing the heads of your enemies, you can just squeeze the heck out of a ball that looks like an alien egg sac. Want to know what the best part is? It oozes pus balls when you squeeze it. I'm not sure about you, but I find it oddly satisfying.
3. This loyal knight will hold your favorite writing instrument
If you're a writer like me, you probably have a special pen or pencil. This noble knight will keep your special writing instrument safe from the evils of your workplace (whatever that means). If you don't have a favorite writing instrument, this knight makes a fun desk ornament too. Either way, you can't go wrong. Having a steadfast knight nearby will keep you honest.
4. Need a pen for that important meaning? This faux plant has got you covered
Some people like to decorate their cubicle with flowers and plants. Unfortunately, I don't have a green thumb, so potted plants are out of the question. This cool desk decoration looks like a plant, but it's actually a pen holder. The group of pens look like blades of grass or plant stems. I know, I know. I'm all about decorative pen holders, but I'm a writer. You can't blame me, right?
5. These brain coasters are hilarious
Sorry, I just love zombies. It's impssoible for me to contain my glee. If you're a fan of The Walking Dead, you'll probably love these offbeat brain coasters. No one likes water rings on their desk, so why not remedy the problem? If anything, they're a great conversation starter. Zombie fans, unite!
6. Decorate your cubicle wall with bats
Halloween is over, but there's no reason why you can't celebrate it all year round. These bat stickers will add some flair to your cubicle wall, for sure. I'm all about these stickers, but I'm also the kind of person that thinks ouija boards are beautiful works of art. Besides, aren't spooky cubicles are the best cubicles? Your coworkers will definitely envy you. Maybe.
7. Add some color to your cubicle with this vibrant trash can
You're going to accumulate trash over a period of time. It's a fact of life. I, for one, have a garden of Starbucks cups on my desk. It's not pretty, and my coworkers shouldn't have to look at it.
Keep your cubicle clean with this colorful trash can. The curlicue design is beautiful and, well, the vibrant color just naturally brightens up your workspace. A clean, organized cubicle will do you a world of good.
