UPDATE: The Hue Go is back in stock and on sale for $59.99 right now on Amazon, which is still a fantastic deal if you're in the market for a portable smart light to brighten up your evenings.
Are you sick of using your too-bright backyard floodlights or not-bright-enough candles when you want to enjoy a summer night under the stars? The Philips Hue Go could just be the perfect solution.
The Hue Go is often out of stock, and when it is available, it can cost anywhere from $70-$100. Right now, however, this fun LED smart bulb is only $50.04 on Amazon, the lowest price we’ve ever seen from any online retailer.
Its bowl-of-light design is whimsical yet stylish, making it a perfect fit for any decor. You can take it wherever you need a little extra ambiance—your backyard, your bedroom, or even at the park or beach. The light can be changed to millions of different colors and can sync up with your music for a fun light show. It lasts three hours on a full charge and works while plugged in too.
The Hue Go connects with Amazon Alexa, which is fantastic if you have an Echo device or plan to get one. But if you don’t have one, you can also easily control your light with any smart phone. You can use it individually, but you’ll have access to far more features if you also have a Hue bridge (usually about $45 by itself).
The bridge can connect to up to 50 Hue devices (including the Go, the Hue Bloom, smart bulbs, and motion sensors). This lets you use the Hue Go as a light alarm, sync it with your movies, and have more control over its functionality. If you like the idea of smart lights, the Hue Go is a great way to test out the capability. Then, pick up a Hue light starter kit that includes the bridge and two bulbs—$67 for white lights and $173 for color.
