GE Appliances seems to be the talk of the town as of late. Whether it's a lamp you can talk to or an oven that doubles as a smoke alarm, it's safe to say the manufacturer is upping its game. Well, things are about to get even cooler.

Drop, the Dublin-based company known for their innovative smart scale and recipe app, will be joining forces with the leader in connected appliances. In other words, home cooks can now preheat and control their WiFi enabled wall ovens with the Drop recipe app.

That's right. You can monitor your GE Appliance wall oven from the comfort of your favorite recliner. It's a dream come true, isn't it? This newly minted partnership really adds a whole new level of intelligence to the connected kitchen.

The Drop app, which is available on the iTunes store, offers 500+ recipes and useful step-by-step instructions. I'm a poor excuse for a chef, as I struggle with measurements, but this app really simplifies the cooking process. You can find recipes that work with the wall ovens on the Drop website or through the companion app.
