Back in March, on-demand delivery service Postmates excitedly announced that it would soon be working with Starbucks. According to that announcement, the pilot would begin in “the second half of 2015.” That left a pretty big window for when coffee lovers would finally be able to get their pumpkin spice lattes conveniently delivered to their doorsteps.

Yesterday, with the window nearly closed, Starbucks finally, well, delivered on its promise. Seattle-area users of the Starbucks mobile app now have access to a “Delivery” function. It's an extension of the Order and Pay options already available to every other user, meaning delivery orders can also be customized with the same options as when you're ordering at the shop.

A courier heads to the nearest Starbucks, picks up the order, and delivers it. And just like in the current Postmates app, customers can track the courier’s travels in real-time.

There’s another advantage to getting Starbucks delivered instead of venturing out there yourself: Postmates couriers are basically VIPs, and can skip the line when picking up delivery orders. Any service that cuts the time it takes to get caffienated is awesome in my book.
