2012 Cyber Monday Refrigerator Deals

We're tracking the best Cyber Monday deals on our favorite fridges.

Recommendations are independently chosen by Reviewed's editors. Purchases made through the links below may earn us and our publishing partners a commission.

Cyber Monday is the sale after the big sale. Retailers want to keep the party going all month long, so they made up another event after Black Friday. Save big, whoop dee doo.

Honestly, there are way too many sales, half-sales, and pretend sales to keep track of, so we’ll just call out good prices on fridges that we like.

We’ll add some more deals as they come along—many of them don’t get announced until Cyber Monday itself. Check back regularly!

Across the board, Sears is giving an extra 10% off, so if on the fence, that might push you over.

RFI Best Side-by-Side Fridge 2012, Samsung RSG257AARS

While the RSG257AARS is a bit weak on efficiency and freezer capacity, it makes up for it with temperature consistency and plenty of refrigerator space. The stainless steel finish and high-end touch interface add further value.

• Samsung RSG257AARS, $1,499 at AJ Madison TOP DEAL

AJ Madison’s current offer of $1,500 is a steal, as it cuts some $900 off of the MSRP. We weren’t able to find a deal on this fridge anywhere else, and since it’s one of our top machines of 2012 we have to call it out as the best Cyber Monday refrigerator deal you’re likely to find.

Check out the rest of AJ Madison's fridge deals here.

RFI Best French Door Fridge, LG LFX31925ST

A highly efficient and robustly designed French Door, the LG LFX31925ST has a massive interior and fairly consistent temperature range. Its major downside (aside from a few warm spots in the freezer) is its price—but not on Black Friday.

• LG LFX31925ST, $2,198 at Home Depot

AJ Madison and Home Depot are pushing this model for about the same price, cutting some $1,000 from the MSRP. This price is good through the end of Cyber Monday. Grab it while it's hot, or cool, or something.

RFI Best Innovation of 2012 LG LFX31935ST Blast Chiller

One of the most sensational refrigerators of the year, the LFX31935ST is LG’s extravagant ode to kitchen snobbery. It’s big, it’s expensive (MSRP: $3849.99), but it has the world’s niftiest party trick: the Blast Chiller, a loud contraption on the inside of the fridge that can chill a 12 ounce can in five minutes. This is about the only feature that separates it from LG’s somewhat cheaper predecessor, the LFX31925ST.

• LG LFX31935ST, $2,599 at AJ Madison

AJ Madison is selling this behemoth for $2,599.00—a markdown of more than $1,200! While the LFX31935ST itself is a well-rounded machine, we don’t advise buying it solely for the Blast Chiller.

LG LFX31945ST

The LG LFX31945ST is like a Russian matryoshka doll: there’s a door, within another door, within another door! Well, not quite. But there is a door within a door. While this feature may confuse some folks, LG claims that it adds vital storage space while also improving its energy efficiency.

• LG LFX31945ST, $2,598 at Home Depot

Home Depot’s offer shaves roughly $1,000 off of the MSRP, placing it among the best refrigerator deals this Black Friday.

Hotpoint HTR16ABSRWW

Even outside of Black Friday, the Hotpoint HTR16ABSRWW is superior to and less expensive than the Frigidaire FFHT1817LS. It’s not very spacious, and has a wide temperature disparity in the freezer, but its moisture retention and price tag put it above the above mentioned Frigidaire.

• Hotpoint HTR16ABSRWW, $398 at Home Depot

Be honest with yourself, a $398 full-size refrigerator—although a deal—is not likely to be the most reliable or impressive machine on the market. But our tests show it to be much better than many others, so take it all with a grain of salt, and happy shopping!

Whirlpool Gold GB2FHDXWS

The GB2FHDXWS has a small freezer and is rather pricey to begin with, but it also boasts an extremely low operating cost and a highly accurate temperature performance.

• Whirlpool Gold GB2FHDXWS, $999 at Lowe's

The Lowe's offer cuts $600 from the MSRP, which makes up for the GB2FHDXWS shortcomings.

Whirlpool Gold GB2FHDXWQ

The GB2FHDXWQ is not the best refrigerator we’ve tested, but if you’re looking for something cheap this season then it’s definitely a viable option. Like its cousin, the GB2FHDXWS, the GB2FHDXWQ offers consistent temperature performance and highly efficient power consumption, which will save you even more money in the long-run.

• Whirlpool Gold GB2FHDXWQ, $999 at Lowe's

Lowe's is selling the GB2FHDXWQ for a markdown of roughly $450. While this is a pretty good deal, the GB2FHDXWS—a superior refrigerator, in our opinion—is being offered for the same price. Barring some sort of kitchen design consideration, we’d recommend going with that one over the GB2FHDXWQ.

Frigidaire FFHT1817LS

The FFHT1817LS is an affordable, low-end machine with a low operating cost. However, its temperature inconsistency, inadequate spill protection, and so-so design render it a questionable buy—that is, at its asking price.

• Frigidaire FFHT1817LS, $568 at Home Depot

Home Depot will be selling this fridge for $568, down $281 from its MSRP of $849.00 This markdown doesn’t improve the FFHT1817LS’s quality, but it certainly makes it a better value.
