Haier, the Chinese white goods behemoth, continues to innovate here at the IFA conference in Berlin. In this video, we take a look at an early prototype of what the refrigerator of the future might look like. With a translucent LCD panel in the door, you can choose to see what food is in the fridge without opening the door. But anyone can make that. Haier takes it one step further by merging that technology with the dream of the "smart kitchen," a kitchen that knows what food items you have on hand and how to combine them into a recipe.
