Niantic Labs, the creator of Pokémon Go, has teamed up with Starbucks to transform approximately 7,800 store locations in the U.S. into Pokémon gyms and PokéStops.
The news comes on the heels of a similar partnership between Niantic and Sprint, which will turn over 10,000 Sprint, Boost Mobile, and RadioShack locations into Pokémon Go points of interest. That news, of course, also marks the first time anyone has referred to a RadioShack as a "point of interest" in several years.
If the PokéStops aren't enough a reason to make you grab your smartphone and head down to one of your seven local Starbucks, the company will also offer a Pokémon-themed Frappuccino for a limited time, which apparently consists of "a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino [with] raspberry syrup blended with freeze dried whole blackberries and topped with whipped cream." It remains to be seen whether the taste improves with sweet, sweet Pokémon victory.
