Technologies like GPS, AI cameras, and nRTK positioning now allow the best robot lawn mowers on the market to just go without hours of prior installation.

Sunseeker Elite, one of the top three robotic mower brands globally with more than 600 product patents, is pushing that evolution even further. The company is debuting its next-generation X8 Plus model at Equip Expo 2026 (Oct. 20–23 in Louisville, KY), and we’re dying to share what’s inside.

Sunseeker Elite at Equip Expo 2026

At Equip Expo 2026, Sunseeker Elite is featuring the X8 Plus across Booth #1190 and Demo Area #7460D. The brand’s lineup ranges from the entry-level X4 designed for smaller yards to the heavy-duty, commercial-focused X9 series.

Highlighted by three standout features, the X8 Plus serves as the cornerstone of the brand's main showcase. Meanwhile, Sunseeker Elite’s partnership with the Philadelphia Phillies reflects its broader vision: transitioning autonomous lawn care from a niche novelty into a mainstream household standard.

AI-powered navigation that learns your yard

Powered by Sunseeker Elite’s AONav™i3.0 system and Vision AI, the X8 Plus robot lawn mower with no wire maps your lawn in detail and navigates it all on its own. You will never have to bury boundary wires or trace routes manually in an app to get it set up. Plus, AONav™i3.0 combines satellite positioning with visual navigation technology for centimeter-level accuracy, so it maintains a stable signal even under tree canopy, around tight hedge lines, and through dense shade where other systems tend to drop out.

An integrated infrared camera also enables it to operate seamlessly in low-light conditions, ensuring smooth performance even on overcast days or early morning.

This refined navigation system provides a noticeable upgrade that elevates the daily experience for homeowners who encountered erratic tracking with other robotic mowers.

Zero in on edge cutting with EdgeZero™ 2.0

By introducing EdgeZero 2.0, the Game X8 Plus solves another common headache for robotic mower owners: patches of uncut grass left next to driveways, flower beds, and borders.

Minimizing the need for post-mow touch-ups delivers a clear boost in daily convenience, particularly on properties with distinct landscape features.

nRTK positioning for complex lawns

By combining nRTK positioning with LiDAR technology, the X8 Plus achieves centimeter-level precision. This pin-point accuracy excels on challenging landscapes with steep slopes, narrow passages, or multiple distinct mowing areas. Because the mower avoids straying into flower beds or repeating mown paths, it delivers a uniform trim while maximizing battery efficiency.

Unveiled at the exhibition on October 20

The wire-free robotic mower category is moving fast, and Sunseeker Elite is making a case that the X8 Plus belongs at the front of that conversation. Its combination of AI mapping, edge-precision cutting, and RTK positioning addresses the three areas where earlier wire-free models fell short. It’s available starting October 20, 2026.
