Milk VR, a virtual reality video service for Samsung's Gear VR by Oculus, was announced by Samsung at CES today.

David Alpert, executive producer of The Walking Dead, was on hand to make the announcement, because Milk VR will stream TV and video content to Gear VR, which we went hands-on with back in September.

Samsung claims it will draw from a huge library of VR content. New content will be created and served to Milk VR by partners such as Acura, the NBA, and David Alpert himself.

Milk VR can be downloaded as an app or accessed via the web. Content will span multiple genres, including sports and lifestyle, and will be uploaded on a weekly basis.
