Nikon today updated its S-series, the manufacturer’s line of flat, compact point-and-shoots. The new Coolpix S700 and S510 tout higher megapixel counts, enhanced face priority, and optical vibration reduction on this pair of cameras.

The Coolpix S50 and Wi-Fi-enabled S51c boost higher 8.1-megapixel counts, while the S51c now adds compatibility with Blackberry mobile devices and comes with a free 6-month subscription to T-Mobile HotSpot service for wireless photo transfer.

Like its digital camera counterparts, the photo frame can display photos in wide 16:9 aspect ratio. The 10-inch Kodak SV1011 Digital Picture Frame will retail for $199.95 when it hits stores this month.

In an eight-camera product launch today, Nikon unveiled the new Coolpix P5100 and P50 as part of its “Performance” series, Nikon’s higher-end point-and-shoots. The P5100 and P50 tout the Nikon Expeed image processor.

In an overhaul of its digital camera line, Nikon launched two updated cameras to entry-level point-and-shoots, the Coolpix L15 and Coolpix L14. The new Nikon cameras carry improved face detection and the new Expeed image processor.

The Casio Z1080 features increased ISO sensitivity and the recently announced YouTube Capture mode.

Photo storage device maker JOBO today announced the introduction of two digital photo frames into its product line. The PDJ701, with 1 GB of storage space, and PDJ700, with 128 MB internal memory, each include 7-inch monitors for displaying photos.
