Kiki Aranita


Kiki Aranita is a food writer, culinary educator, and recipe developer who recently closed her restaurant and food truck, Poi Dog. She's since morphed the brand into a retail sauce company that makes Hawaii-style Chili Peppah Water and Lavender Ponzu. She teaches cooking classes through Context Travel and Drexel University and her work has appeared in Food & Wine, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and many other publications. She is also a fiber artist who enjoys rendering food packaging into crocheted sculptures.

Kiki holds a Bachelor’s degree from New York University, a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature from the City University of New York’s Graduate Center, and a Master’s degree in Classics from Bryn Mawr College.
