Adobe to Offer Online and Live CS3 Educational Events

April 4, 2007 - Adobe will offer live and online workshops and podcasts to educate Creative Suite 3 users about the included programs’ new features. The events will take place over the next six months to complement the upcoming release of CS3, the biggest in Adobe’s 25-year history.

CS3: The Creative License Conference is a series of 1- and 2-day educational conferences that will be held in May and June. The 2-day conferences will feature almost 40 educational sessions and will be held in Los Angeles and New York on June 19-20 and June 25-26, respectively. The 2-day conference costs $199. The 1-day conferences will be held in Chicago, Austin, San Jose, Toronto, Boston, and Seattle in May and June. Cost of admission is $79. The Creative License Podcast series will feature monthly interviews with Johnny Loiacono, Adobe’s head of creative solutions. According to Adobe, CS3 brings together the best of Adobe and Macromedia applications, allowing a vast range of options across a range of creative professions. Adobe acquired Macromedia in 2005.

"Adobe’s new Creative Suite 3 line-up unites the best of Adobe and Macromedia product innovation to provide designers and developers with a broad spectrum of creative options for all facets of print, web, mobile, interactive, film, and video production," according to a March 27 press release.

Creative Suite 3 programs will be offered as 12 standalone application and six suites. Adobe will begin shipping CS3 this month.
