July 20, 2007* - Online photo service Shutterfly will give away 5 million prints in celebration of its eighth birthday. The company reports more than 1.5 billion photos have been uploaded to and more than 500 million prints have been sold from the site since it was launched in December 1999.

25 Shutterfly members will be selected daily to receive 1,000 free prints. Three grand prize winners will be awarded 10,000 prints each. The winners may elect to share their free prints with others.

The print giveaway is part of the company’s Summer Memories Campaign, which includes the launch of summermemories.com, where Shutterfly members can share their photo books with other users.

'Shutterfly is celebrating our 8th birthday by giving customers fun and creative ways to enjoy summertime with our Summer Memories campaign. After taking your family on vacation, hosting your kids' talent show or just making home-made ice cream, you can trust Shutterfly to deliver the highest quality products and outstanding service, while you preserve your most prized possessions - your memories,' said Jeff Housenbold, CEO and president of Shutterfly, in a company press release.

Shutterfly members are automatically entered in the giveaway each time they place an order. The 5 Millions Prints Giveaway ends August 14, 2007.
