Performance
Section 2 Text
The Canon ELPH 100 HS takes better pictures than the TX66, no doubt. Its colors more accurate, details much sharper, and while the TX66 is less noisy, that's largely due to heavy-handed noise reduction which leaves a blurry mess in its wake. At small sizes, performance is similar, but blown up 12 megapixels, the ELPH 100 HS looks much crisper.

Design and Handling
Section 3 Text
The TX66 is a much more stylish camera with slicker components. It's barely half an inch thick, its 3.3-inch OLED screen is gorgeous, and it has a minimalist flair, which is trendy these days. The touchscreen interface makes it frustrating to navigate the menus at times, but it's a point-and-shoot, so that's peripheral. The TX66 is the obvious choice.

Conclusion
Section 4 Text
For $350, the TX66 should beat out the ELPH 100 in every conceivable way, but it doesn't The ELPH 100 HS takes much better photos. The design and interface don't take anything away from the shooting experience. The TX66 is all about fashion, but if you want an accessory that takes photos, buy an iPhone—if you can spend $350 on a point and shoot, you can probably afford a monthly data plan. The ELPH 100 still reigns.
