Last spring at my son Tyler's first Red Sox game, he noticed a nearby couple taking pictures with an instant camera. Like so many generations before him, he was amazed by the “magic camera” that prints your photos “right before your very eyes!” That Christmas, I got him the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 and it was easily one of his favorite gifts.

Fujifilm has added some much-needed updates to the classic Polaroids of yore, including a selfie mirror and zoom lens.

Right now on Amazon, the newer model Instax Mini 26 is on sale for $54.99.

For that price, you get the camera plus 10 sheets of film with colorful rainbow frames. Color me jealous: Not only does Tyler’s camera not have as many features as the Mini 26; it was more expensive and didn't come with film. I really wish this deal had been around during Christmas time.

We've had a lot of fun with the “magic” of instant photography. Take advantage of this Amazon deal and make some magic of your own.
