August 31, 2006 – Adobe Systems Inc. announced yesterday that an educational show is hitting the road, touring 25 colleges and art schools in the U.S.. Starting September 5 and ending December 8, Adobe's Project: Photoshop and Lightroom education road show will make multiple stops in California, New York, and Massachusetts.

The two-day conference will center on Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Adobe Lightroom public beta. Adobe also launched a new corresponding website, www.projectphotoshoplightroom.com in which students of the seminar and lecture will be able to post portfolios and blogs.

'This program enables students and educators to experience the Lightroom beta first hand, get in-depth training on Photoshop as well as serve as a conduit from which they can freely share their work, ideas and tips through a dynamic online community,' said Adobe senior evangelist Julieanne Kost in Adobe’s news release yesterday.

The first day of the project will feature a lecture by documentary and commercial photographer Colin Finlay, who has won Picture of the Year four times, according to the photographer’s website. The second portion will feature a seminar given by Adobe representative Kost, allowing students to access Photoshop CS2 and Lightroom. Selected students will also participate in a workshop with Finlay.
