August 25, 2006 – Image resizing software company BenVista released on Tuesday an update to their photo enlargement program, PhotoZoom Pro version 2.1.

The image enlargement program promises photos with "sharp contrasts and no jagged edges," according to the BenVista website. PhotoZoom Pro 2.1 has a new S-Spline XL interpolation algorithm and self-adjusting technology for sharp magnification. Version 2.1 also sports new features including universal compatibility with PC and Macs, improved interface and tools, and a processing speed that is 40 percent faster, states the site.

PhotoZoom runs as a stand-alone application or as a plug-in version with Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Corel Paint Shop Pro and Photo PAINT. The program supports IPTC, EXIF, and ICC files.

PhotoZoom Pro 2 retails at $149 and the upgrade is $49. A free trial is also available at http://www.benvista.com/main/content/content.php?page=downloads.
