Canon has revealed features and specifications for the upcoming ELPH 520 HS and 110 HS digital cameras. The new models will replace the 510 HS and 100 HS in the PowerShot product line.

The 520 HS will be a feature-rich and relatively pricey compact camera. At the heart of the device will be a 10.1 megapixel CMOS sensor, and the lens will be capable of an impressive 12x optical zoom. ISO sensitivity of up to 3200 will be supported, and Full HD 1080p video recording will also be available. High speed burst mode will be capable of 6.8 frames per second, according to Canon, and image review will be accomplished via a 3-inch fixed LCD display. The camera’s chassis has also been redesigned since the 510 HS, and now sports a more angular, modern look.

The PowerShot ELPH 520 HS will be available in March for approximately $299.99, in black, silver, red, and blue.

Canon’s 110 HS will be similar in price and feature-set to the 520 HS, but will lack the same optical zoom capability. This will be a 5x model, with a 16 megapixel CMOS sensor capable of up to ISO 3200. Once again, Full HD video shooting will be available, and a 3-inch fixed LCD will take up most of the rear panel. High speed burst will be slightly slower than the 520 HS, but still clocks in at an impressive 5.8 frames per second.

The ELPH 110 HS will be available in February for approximately $249.99, and will be available in bright red, blue, green, pink, and silver; as well as black.
