Canon DSLR Software Updated

April 3, 2007* – Canon recently released software updates for all their current DSLR models and a few DSLRs that are no longer manufactured. Among the new software for Mac and Windows users is an updated EOS Utility and RAW Codec for select models.

Canon advises their DSLR consumers to update their equipment with the most recent software. Most of their DSLR camera line now offers an improved ZoomBrowser EX 5.8b Updater for Windows or Image Browser 5.8b Updater for Mac OS X operating systems. Other updates include the latest version of Digital Photo Professional 3.0 and EOS Utility 2.0 for PC and Mac users for the following cameras:

EOS 1D

EOS-1D Mark II

EOS 1Ds

EOS 10D

EOS D60

EOS Digital Rebel

The update for Canon’s more recent cameras also includes a new RAW Codec 1.0 that is compatible with Windows Vista. It is offered for the following cameras:

EOS-1D Mark II N

EOS-1Ds Mark II

EOS 5D

EOS 20D

EOS 20Da

EOS 30D

EOS Digital Rebel XT

EOS Digital Rebel XTi

The Canon EOS D30 has not been recently updated.
