Canon India Names New Assistant Director of Marketing of Consumer Imaging

February 17, 2006 – According to IT News Online India, Canon India has just named Dhiren Singh as the new Assistant Director of Marketing, Consumer Imaging which includes, among other things, their thriving digital camera market.

DCI reported earlier on Canon’s powerhouse position as the world’s leading digital camera manufacturer; Canon claimed a growth of 15.2 percent and total sales of ¥879.2 billion (U.S. $7,451 million) for 2005. Digital camera sales made up 19.8 percent of Canon’s total revenues. India is one of their largest digital camera markets.

Singh’s role will be to concentrate on growing brand recognition.
