August 25, 2006 – The best-selling eBay point-and-shoot in the last two weeks was the Canon PowerShot SD450, according to a Photo Marketing Association data watch released this week.
In a two-week survey ending August 22, PMA found that "Canon remained a very popular brand," taking six of the eight top-selling slots. The 5.0 megapixel Canon Powershot SD450 sold for an average of $120.99 online at eBay, nearly half the original price when the camera was launched in August 2005.
The top selling point-and-shoots on eBay ranged from 4 MP to 8.1MP cameras, with Kodak and Sony carrying the price extremes. The 4.0 MP Kodak EasyShare C330 sold for an average of $87.68. The 8.1 MP Sony Cyber-shot DSC-N1 camera sold for an average of $337.55. All the other eBay best-sellers belonged to Canon.
