August 8, 2006 – Originally released in the UK and Ireland in June at £229.99 (equivalent to $420 USD), the Casio Exilim Z70 will soon be offered in the States at a fraction of the cost. The 7.2 megapixel Z70 is slated for availability in September at $249.99.
The Casio EX-Z70 follows its predecessor, the 6.0 megapixel EX-Z60, which was released earlier this year. The point-and-shoot is fitted with a 3x optical zoom lens, 2.5-inch LCD screen, anti-shake setting, and a maximum ISO 800 sensitivity. The EX-Z70 has 33 best shot modes, including an Easy Mode for beginners and an eBay best shot mode for size conversion.
