November 15, 2004* — The Casio Exilim EX-S100 will be available in a glossy white finish in Japan in December. The EX-S100 is touted as the world’s smallest optical zoom camera. Last week, the camera was honored with Popular Science Magazine’s ‘2004 Best of What’s New Award’ and CES Innovations’ ‘2005 Design and Engineering Award.’ The 3.2-megapixel camera is available in a stainless steel gray color in North America. It has a 2-inch LCD screen and is 14mm thick at its slimmest point. The 9.3MB of internal memory makes this camera a popular choice in the compact sector.

The Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z55 is also being released in more exciting colors in Japan. In North America, a stainless steel gray is the sole color. In Japan, consumers get steel, brown or blue. The Z55s will be released in their new colors November 19th. The 5-megapixel digital camera comes with a 3x optical zoom lens and a 2.5-inch LCD screen.
