Sept. 12, 2007 – Clickbooq Inc. this month officially launched its new Web-based software to create online portfolios for professional photographers. The design, management, and hosting service allows users to create Flash-based and HTML versions of their portfolios without requiring design skills, according to clickbooq.

'Developing the search-engine friendly HTML site, along with clickbooq’s signature Flash website, fulfills our promise to increase awareness for our photographers and help them generate new leads," said President and CEO Bryan Heu in a Sept. 4 press release.

"This is a seamless integration for all of our clients and a no-brainer when it comes to increasing their search engine relevancy. It also shows our commitment to continue to develop and introduce new features and enhancements with maximum benefit for the professional photographer community,' Heu said.

The California-based company caters to photographers who want to frequently update their portfolio. The portfolios use full screen images in the 3:2 aspect ratio. With the content management system Toolbox, users can make changes to their site's colors, fonts, borders, backgrounds, and transition effects. Users can also upload personalized logos, backgrounds, music, and contact pages.

Clickbooq also automatically uploads metadata attached to the photos, with the compatible IPTC and EXIF data. Each plan includes five full-sized portfolios and five content pages. Clickbooq can hold up to 2,000 images on the system’s Image Archive.

Clickbooq last week removed the clickbooq logo from each photographer’s website, enabling photographers to "self-promote" their work.

Clickbooq prices vary. The monthly plan is $69, with a setup fee of $199 and an additional $10 each month for Web hosting. The annual plan is $699, plus a $99 annual fee for Web hosting; the setup fee is included. The one-time plan is $1,699, $99 per year for hosting, and includes the setup fee.
