*November 18, 2005 - *Imaging software company DxO Labs yesterday announced the release of DxO Optics Pro v3.5 in both Standard and Elite Editions. The software features DxO’s "DxO Optics Engine v2," an update to the company’s optical correction engine which more effectively reduces color fringing, preserves more image area when correcting for geometric distortion, and better preserves image detail. The batch processing speed has been doubled for multi-processor computers, and the user interface has also been improved. Additionally, the software now supports the Canon EOS-5D and assorted lenses.

DxO Labs’ Luc Martin, vice president of the Photography Business Unit, said in a press release, "The quality of the corrections and the final results look better than ever with this new version."

Optics Pro v3.5 is free to download for registered users of Optics Pro v3 and versions exist for both PC and Mac platforms. The Standard and Elite editions can also be purchased for $149 US and $299 US, respectively, and are available at retailers or through DxO directly at http://store.dxo.com/.
