April 5, 2007* - Panasonic has released a firmware update for the Lumix DMC-L1, its first digital SLR camera. v2.0 makes improvements to the camera’s performance and operation.

According to the Panasonic website, the update includes:

  • An added multiple exposure function.

  • Panning mode.

  • A low-angle mode, which makes it easier to see the LCD display at steep angles.

  • A Hold option in Auto Review that allows continuous viewing.

  • Zoomed-in review of photos.

  • An added feature that simplifies setting the aperture when using a lens without an aperture ring.

  • Two new manual white balance settings added to the GUI, plus removal of a time restriction on the settings.

  • An auto option for ISO sensitivity in the aperture-priority mode and shutter speed-priority AE mode.

  • Improved performance of auto exposure and auto white balance.
